Summit1,200 M → 4,808 M

Your career is a mountain. Most people circle the base and call it a path. This is the other option: five camps, eight months, sixteen climbers — a roped ascent to the seat you actually want.

Begin the ascent

BASECAMP · STAGE 01 / 051,200 M

The self-inventory

Every serious ascent begins with a weigh-in. You cannot carry everything up.

Before you climb, you lay it all out on the tarp — the wins, the reflexes, the borrowed ambitions — and decide what earns a place in the pack. Basecamp is a complete audit of who you are as a leader when nobody is managing the impression.

  • The 360° instrument, read aloud with your guide — not skimmed in a PDF at midnight.
  • The pack list: strengths you will carry, habits you leave at the trailhead, named in writing.
  • First rope-team session: sixteen strangers, one contract of candor.

Most executives have never heard their reputation described in complete sentences. You will.

WEEKS 01–04 · RESIDENTIAL: CHAMONIX · NEXT PITCH +900 M

CAMP I · STAGE 02 / 052,100 M

The Approach

Long before anyone watches you climb, they decide where you stand.

The approach is unglamorous and decisive: you pick the face you will climb. Which problems you want your name attached to. Which rooms you are building toward. We turn a résumé's worth of motion into a position — one sentence your organization could repeat about you when you are not there.

  • The positioning claim: one sentence, stress-tested by fifteen people with no reason to flatter you.
  • The stakeholder map: who decides, who whispers, who blocks — drawn, not assumed.
  • Route selection: your two-year line up the mountain, dated and committed to your guide.

A position is not a title. It is the reason your name comes up before the meeting starts.

WEEKS 05–10 · REMOTE + ROPE TEAM · NEXT PITCH +850 M

CAMP II · STAGE 03 / 052,950 M

The Wall

On every mountain there is a pitch you cannot walk around.

For most careers it is the same overhang: the conversation you have been managing around instead of having. Asking for the scope. Naming the broken dynamic. Correcting the story a powerful person tells about you. The Wall is a live laboratory — real scenarios, trained counterparts, replayed until the words hold your weight.

  • The conversation inventory: every exchange you have been avoiding, listed and priced.
  • Pressure labs: live practice with trained counterparts — recorded, replayed, rebuilt.
  • The visibility protocol: weekly reps in being seen without performing.

You do not get past The Wall by feeling ready. You get ready by being on The Wall.

WEEKS 11–18 · RESIDENTIAL: LONDON · NEXT PITCH +750 M

HIGH CAMP · STAGE 04 / 053,700 M

High Camp

Above this line, nobody climbs alone.

High Camp is where the air changes: decisions about you are now made in rooms you are not in. The work is presence — how you hold a silence, how you land a number, how a board reads you in ninety seconds — and sponsorship: turning admirers into people willing to spend their credibility on your name.

  • Sponsor architecture: mapping, earning, and briefing the people on your rope.
  • The Room drills: board-level presence, cut and reviewed on video with your cohort.
  • Altitude checks: monthly 1:1s with your guide as the exposure increases.

A mentor talks to you. A sponsor talks about you. Only the second one moves careers.

WEEKS 19–26 · REMOTE + ROPE TEAM · NEXT PITCH +1,108 M

SUMMIT · STAGE 05 / 054,808 M

The seat, and what it costs

The summit is not a place you arrive. It is a place you occupy.

The last pitch is the honest one. The seat you have been climbing toward has a weather system of its own: whose calls you take at night, what your calendar says about your marriage, what you are willing to be publicly wrong about. Summit is where you accept the seat with your eyes open — or choose a different peak, deliberately, which is its own kind of summit.

  • The cost ledger: what the seat takes, written down before you owe it.
  • First 100 days at altitude: an operating plan for the new scope, reviewed by the cohort.
  • Descent planning: what you hand down the mountain to the people behind you.

Every summit is also a decision about the next mountain.
